Digital Aesthetic Design
It is a modern tool of aesthetic dentistry. It is about the digital analysis of the face in order to simulate the new smile. The process involves taking digital photos of the existing original condition. Then study and planning is done using software.
The teeth change dimensions, inclinations and color to perfectly fit the face. The resulting "before and after" is then presented to the patient to assess and evaluate the digital change.
The changes that occur in the mouth are transferred with a resin mock-up without grinding the teeth and thus a re-evaluation is made, now in real conditions. Any changes are finalized and taken to the lab to perform the build. Thus, the patient knows the result before the procedure begins
An even greater advantage is the extremely detailed communication with the dental laboratory, which guides the selection of the material to be used.
Through this analysis we know in advance exactly which tooth needs to be treated and how much. It is of great importance that the grinding is done over the resin model (mock up) with the result that it is minimal or often not at all.
Which makes the tooth preparation process extremely conservative.
