Resin and Porcelain inlays
These are minimally interfered <>, but made outside the mouth, in the dental laboratory. The material chosen depends on the condition of the tooth and can be made of composite resin or porcelain.
It is an excellent solution for the restoration of the anatomy, functionality and aesthetics of the teeth.

Overview
Completed in two appointments (may involve several teeth together in the same quadrant)
- Shaping and mapping
- Welding
It is important to note that both the process of forming and bonding of the liners are sensitive techniques that require a dry and saliva and blood free environment. For this reason, they are performed in isolation with a rubber buffer and under a dental microscope.
The choice of restorative material is mainly determined by whether the underlying tooth is denervated or not. In cases where a tooth is denervated, the best choice is ceramic (porcelain). This is because as a material it has a better modulus of elasticity (more robust) than resins. Thus, it protects the underlying denervated tooth from future breakage.
On the other hand, the choice of composite resin has the advantage of immediate repair in the clinic if needed.
In any case, this is decided in advance, taking into account all the parameters in each case.
As a technique, it is feasible and can be applied so that in one appointment we can take an impression for two or more inlays, which will be bonded in the next session.

What you need to know
Resin inlays are made of resin, a plastic-type material, and are used to restore and improve the appearance of damaged or poorly formed teeth.
Resin inlays are usually more economical than porcelain inlays. They are also lightweight and require less removal of dental tissue during application.
Porcelain inlays are made of porcelain ceramic material and are usually used for prosthetic dental restorations because of their natural appearance.
Porcelain inlays offer excellent physical appearance and durability. They are stain resistant and can last longer than resin inlays.
The time depends on the type of liner and the initial condition of the tooth. Usually, the procedure can take from a few visits.
Usually, there are no restrictions on diet or habits. However, proper oral and dental hygiene is important to maintain the health of the lining.
